Mysteries.
some things will always be.

studying at the favourite HSBC starbucks corner has opened my eyes to so many different sights of people. well, i've mostly withnessed cases where the older generation proved themselves to be the ugly lot. then again, all sorts of people make up this world, and it's just rather interesting to just sit down, stare and quietly take in the different information of those individuals.
ugly:
first there was the women who koped like a dozen of copies of the "today" paper and went over to starbucks to hide them. yes, with me. cause i was just studying there alone on one of the mornings. she claimed she was leaving for taka to distribute magazines and an hour later, she came back with a push-trolley which she probably stole from cold storage and a few dozens of magazines. ironically, she thanked us then threw us a dirty comment and left pulling the huge trolley behind her.
next there's this man in a perpetual white shirt who visits starbucks every single day. and today, i saw another ugly act of his. he came earlier in the morning and stole the newspaper starbucks provides as their complementary service. he then reappeared in the afternoon to nestle at his usual couch . mind you, he doesnt actually purchase anything from the store.
in addition to that, he took off his shoes and placed his rather smelly feet on the table, which i thought was absolutely rude and distasteful.
okay, i committed a sin today too.
i just couldnt stand the fact that he's such a good for nothing bum who showed no respect to the community around him. especially when he's sitting right behind eve.
i actually took a macaroni and threw it at him while he was sleeping. okay, thanks or no thanks to my skills acquired from the 7years of netball, it hit him right in the face and then bounced off into his shirt. SCORE i would have scream, but nah, it would have been too obvious. but then again, my plate of macaroni was just lying on the table so.. haha he knew.
sweet:
this really loving caucasian couple sweetened my thursday.
okay, they sat pretty far from where i was, but the sweetness was overflowing and i just had to notice them.
the wife, i'd presume, was pregnant. just before they left starbucks, she was about to reach down to grab her bag when he zoomed in (without the need to be prompted) and picked it up for her sincerely. not grudging in any sense. and then she took it, pecked each another lightly on the lips, held hands and left.
okay. maybe i appear to be quite an intrusive girl for reading people like this. but every single characer we meet each day is unique and some just interest you enough to want to pry further.
and sometimes if you're lucky enough, you'll just meet the one that you would like to understand, to know more than what you see on the surface. cause you know she/he has so much more to give, so much left unspoken and tucked into a little corner of her/his life that maybe she has even forgotten that that part of her existed.
