So finally after a month of intensive studying, the tortuous 9 papers are over.
though i honestly think i am going to possibly fail most of it and either be forced to repeat or get terminated from vet school, and oops.. thats about it.

never in my 21 years of life have i ever felt so drained. these exams were no doubt, the hardest examination hurdle i ever had to cross.
and now that it is over, i feel no joy, relieve whatsoever.
but dread.. and smell fear.

:(

dee is ill. she has got tracheobronchitis. her bf Ted from the doggy park passed it to her.
so now she has flu, fever, swollen submandibular lymph nodes, spasmodic dry cough, conjunctivitis in her left eye.

what is planned out next for me; i do not know.

Pharmacology today was absolute terror. it was my most prepared, yet i'm hinging on the edge of a pass or a fail. Why?

I'm starting to really doubt my abilities in handing this course and frankly speaking, it's a 60-40 right now. 60 being retained or getting kicked out.
Its sad.

I never really doubted my abilities and mental capacity up till this point. I used to just brush away whatever apprehension i had with just the excuse of laziness..
but now.....:(

Life, dog and life.

when they refer to "a dog's life" in non-literally terms, there's a negative connotation tied to it and it probably refers to one struggling in a certain aspect of their life.

YET.

in literal terms.. a dogs life is actually NOT as hard as people put it out to be.

for example...

Dee sleeping

for those who don't already know it...my dog lives a life of luxury. no, no fancy dingdangs hanging from her collar, no dyed fur and pedicure or whatever they call it for dogs..
but..

she for one, being a large breed dog, is an indoor dog.
sleeps on the sofa with her own choice of 6 pillows/headrest, has her very own quilt, her own bathroom(even though there are 3 bathrooms, and 3 people in the household-- dee owns one while the rest of us share with 2), full excess to the house, gets her daily doggie social time, her swim days...... and to sum things up, all she does everyday is... be cute, sleep eat and play!

she gets the bestest technology available to her, her dog brush for one, is deemed the best in the market- fetching a rate of $110. her new nailclippers detects her quick and will signal red, green or yellow... blah blah)

and in additon, she has me to constantly fear this and that for her with every insight i gain with regards to her and my course of study.

A secret double life.

a close friend of mine recently told me about a sighting of hers. i must say i was pretty surprise by that fact she revealed to me but impassive i remained.
afterall, what is there to show or feel when things have already deteriorated beyond repair?
ironically.. moments after i said my goodbyes to her and part separate ways, i started pondering over what she had proclaimed to me and.. hmm.. it felt funny.

oh wells.

anw.. so today's my last day back in SG, and it's back to sunny/frosty Melbourne. i must say Singapore was better than i expected.. it usually is. haha. this ALWAYS happen each time i leave melbourne or singapore. the wave of reluctance will knock me over and when i'm back whereever i am, things will always turn out for the better.

and again, much thanks to everyone out there for their calls, sms, facebook msges, gifts and snail mail cards wrt to my birthday. and let me especially thank miuyen again. THANKS!:)
hongkong was alright, shopping was disappointing, jackets were awesome, food was mediocre, company was great, friends were extremely welcoming........ yah. i'm glad i had this holiday.. it was way way overdue.

oh, nutmeg is so adorable. to those who have personally met him.. YES i know.. you guys absolutely hate his hyperactiveness.. but he has really mellowed down quite a bit. and he does listen to commands now! well.. most of the time. and i love it how he runs upstairs and waits outside my room in the morning for me to wake up.. and how he willingly keeps me company when i'm doing my stuff in the room and only goes down the stairs should nature beckons him.

with that said... i'm stoked with the thought of seeing dee!!:))))

living with someone can be really hard, be it family, friend, a love one or just some random old stranger.
the suspicious looking damp floor, the uncapped toothpaste, hair of unknown origins clogging the sink and shower drainer... gosh. i try to stop myself from gagging each time i come across such sights.

i like knowing where everything of mine is placed, i like a clean, completely dry washroom.
yes i am anal and terribly particular about my things.. but this i honestly cant help it. i try, i really do try to turn a blind eye to everything; the filth, the mess, the smell. gosh.
but i guess the uncapped toothpaste i have seen for the 3rd time since i arrived back home in sg kinda triggered this uncanniness and repulsiveness.

i watched ink heart earlier in the night.. i must say it was an absolute disgrace to fantasy films.
the script was poorly structured, the direction of the movie was least said-- a complete mess. acting was pretty bad as well.. gosh. why why why?!

so it's hk on monday and back a week later and a few days break before i fly back to melb... it's such a rush for me again with so little time in singapore and i practically havent met any of my friends and not forgetting all the good food i wanted to eat so badly when i was missing it in melbourne.

with that said, i must admit i'm truly looking forward to hk. finally, a holiday. (yea, i need an annual holiday fix) the last time i visited hk, i was too young to remember anything, so this time, i got to make the trip worth.
cant wait for all the food, shopping and a brief respite before i fall back into reality.

oh, did i also mention that i had my wisdom tooth op on wed? yeah.. the pain is somewhat manageable, but... hoooo.. my swollen cheek is gosh, how should i describe it..
yah. basically i look like i've got a fishball stuck in my lower left cheek or that i simply look like a deformed child.
and mind you, i have been walking around town running my endless errands before i take off monday. it's such an eyesore that i literally feel as if i have to walk with my head plastered to the ground. shsssh, please go away soon.

wooo.. just back from supper with weif and we had the longest conversation at prata house. we literally watched the tables around us change hands multiple times.
weif, you just worsen my possible bronchitis

so cny is coming, and god, i'm no where near my ideal size and weight. in fact i'm opposite of that and am eating like there's no tomorrow.
looking at everything single dish, thinking of my favourite restaurants just makes me want to eat them ALL at once.

and i'm pretty upset that this year's collection of red packets are gonna decrease and my birthday red packet from my grandma will probably be like...1% of what i hoped for it to be.:(

should i get a... nokia e71 that everyone seems to like, a blackberry bold(though it's HUGE, but i quite like it), or a blackberry curve 8900? i'm so in love with qwerty keyboard i refuse to give them up. it's sad that my dopod/htc phones are either laggy, or nobody can hear me on the other side of the line unless i bang the phone like 5times every 4 seconds. why cant htc produce a decent phone i can purchase?

no.. i just googled, and honestly, the bestest phone would be the nokia n95. a dopod/htc flip sideways qwerty with nokia capabilities. sweet.

hmm...

watched Cinderella earlier in the night with mel and amy. the show was alright, though i must say their over exaggerated mushy-ness kinda made my yummy ichiban boshi dinner turn somewhere along my gastrointestinal tract.

so i skipped work today and visited mini with mel for a bit before i took off to meet junyi. like a proper shop walk talk day after 1.5 years? it was way overdue and i must say, it felt like the old times again.

1) scrap all birthday plans and take a trip to HK?

Pros of cancelling
- probably saving at least 5k, at most.. 6-7?
- spare myself all the hassle of making invites and delivering them out
- dress woes are gone
- i will get pretty nice bags
- holiday!! (i'm totally in need of one)
- i can do my wisdom op anytime
- the fear of possible property damage of the suite; gone.

Cons of cancelling
- unable to end the spell and curse of terrible birthdays
- loss of red packets from relatives (haha)
- unfulfilled vision of my perfect birthday

it was the sold out event--Tegan and Sara concert last night with guest bands The Jezebels and An Horse.
1+ hour of queuing, 4.5 hours of standing.. gawd.. it was an incredibly long wait for the girls to come out. poor jan and ox, who probably knew nothing about them except from the endless times they hear it in jx's car on repeat.

but anyhow, WOO! they were great!
"tegan you're amazing!" but i must say sara looked adorable on stage last night. even jan was swooning over her.

we picked ALOT (maybe 2 kg worth) of mussels and brought it back and ox cooked her "all-the-way-from-perth-famous- chili mussels!

Friday
worked in the day (because we get double the pay) and boxing day shopping at essendon and highpoint!

Saturday

visited mornington peninsula where we picked HUGE strawberries and ate seafood.
it was also ox's birthday so we paid visit to Old kingdom, ate lots of peking duck and watched silly movies.

Sunday
WORKed again till late of which Jan amazingly managed to sneak into the grounds and bypass all the guards and found me at the bar at the members area.
cricket is such a boring game to watch, really.
imagine, 5 days from 10-6pm of the SAME team playing over and over again. where do these players channel their stamina from?!

gosh. it's nye today. the year sure as hell passed real quickly.
another dinner party to go!

for the first and only time since 3 weeks ago, the sun was out and temperature rose above the normal, abnormal 20+ degrees.

so we brought dee to the beach for a little swim!
it was her first time in the water and without a leash and she sure as hell did great!:)

gosh i'm bloated from biscuits and my ribeprite drink. and yet i have got to eat my dinner with J in about 30minutes time. i just cant help myself. i have HAVE to rotate and eat every single shape of cookie from the cookie tin. this is badd...

back from the farm and i probably put on 2-3kgs from Pam's breaky and lunch everyday. mel, jx... DIET PLEASE!

Out at the farms, storm hit a couple of days ago and killed my internet:(

but anyhow, evening fishing has been doing good for us! been highly productive, caught a ~40cm Murray cod and an almost "carp" until my line broke the other day. mel caught a ~25cm murray cod, a almost carp and a red fin. jx caught a ~30cm Murray cod and a 65 cm carp! and J caught a ~68cm HUGE ASS CARP! of which we bbq and ate:))))

farm has been quite an experience this time around, did some ear tagging for the cattle in preparation for the cattle sale at shepparton tmr of which we will need to wake up at 6am tmr to head down to the town..
2 more days out at here, and i'm so going to miss this place.

it's 230am sunday morning. i am barely 1/3 done with my biochem studying and i honestly didnt understand what i just read. yet, i have to move on cause i'm so hard press for time and i'm about to suffocate.

been so distracted the entire day and here i am now, freaking out in the night. gawd, i never ever learn do i?

anatomy paper 2 was horrid. i'm pretty sure i'm gonna fail this paper, which mean it'll most probably be a definite fail for my overall anatomy. i hate this crap. i dont think i ever failed anything before. maybe one of those minor test but.. i never failed an exam before.. and freak, it really sucks.

had a sudden outburst in the shower earlier and i couldnt stop crying/laughing/crying/laughing. to be honest, i couldnt and still cant pinpoint what i was crying about. (i knew i was laughing cause i thought my sudden onset of tears was ridiculous.)

i hate the next 4 days of my life.

so i finished part 1 of my anatomy paper yesterday and there's part2 tomorrow. of which i have not started nor touched the books/slides since the start of this semester. and right now, i can barely open my eyes, an image of my bed is just swimming round in circles in my head

why do i always find myself in such a predicament.
being so last minute and then freaking out and doing all night-ers.

i tried finding excuses in the past by telling myself it's the course, and it isnt what i really want. but hell, even if i were doing medicine, would i really be any different?

dee is ill. she has been having runny diarrhea for the past 2 days.
J brought her to the vet today, and apparently, there was a recent hit of Parvo virus... and if the dog was brought in a week ago.. dee might have gotten it.

91% death of puppies hit by Parvo.

i'm scared. we're scared..

i have a freaking paper later in the afternoon, and all i wanna do now is to watch her and make sure she's alright. freak

please pray for her, whatever god/s you believe in, please pray and cross your fingers for her.

returned the keys of my old place to the agent today after the final round of cleaning, clearing and fixing much thanks to jx.

amazing. dee is AMAZING!
it's day 3.. and she has been house-broken by day 2 yesterday! all she took was ... 2 days to be taught where to poo and urine.
she's really a hell of a smart pup.

been to pet shops the past few days, and we get the same story over and over... she's way too young to be separated from her mum. the typical separation occurs ard.. 7/8 weeks. and dee JUST turned 5 weeks today! annoying, inconsiderate breeders...

despite the 1st/2nd day of night whining, i think dee is adapting pretty well! intially she only dared to sleep in her kennel or near it.. but now, she's sleeping right under my feet!

gosh... she's such a charmer.

Feet sores.

i seemed to have developed this condition awhile back.. and the 3 continuous days of moving has kinda worsen the condition..
both my feet are so painful till the extend that i'm resorting to tiptoeing to get around (and mind you, i do have quite a high threshold for pain)

well.. i've kinda officially moved into my new place. though i'm currently back at the old using the internet. so far all my visitors have indicated that they absolutely love my place(woo hoooo!) i sure do hope you guys arent just saying it out of courtesy.

but hell, this place is indeed nice.. it's a 3 story townhouse with the entire second level dedicated to the kitchen, living and dining area. every level has it's own ensuite and balcony.. and the bedrooms are huge!
like they said.. it's a great party house.
i shall remind myself to take some pictures of it and post it up.

jan's birthday was mainly spent moving but yesterday's birthday celebration was a success!
we had the bbq going (thanks jx for fixing it up) and i made my tiramisu again (less alcohol this time)

strongest winds ever late last night and early this morning. the noise it made with it was indeed quite terrifying.

today marks the start of my hectic weekend with cleaning of the new place, moving to the new place, cleaning of the old place, inspection of old place, admin stuff, j's birthday, my upcoming test on monday, yada yada...

i'm about to burst out with this secret of mine. i feel the compulsion to just pick up my phone and dial in the numbers to share this with the world. but no.. wait for 31st oct or 8 nov for the secret to be unveiled.

okay, am finally done with the farms for now. just got back from a 3 day farm stay with my school over at dookie. gosh.. it was hell tiring with full day farm trips in the day and "lectures" in the night from 8pm onwards.

the trip however, did turn out better than i expected with initial skepticism as i was separated from mel and jx. but i'm glad liz and i got to catch up over the trip and after hours chats with the other singaporeans were indeed entertaining.

exams are in a month and gawd i need to start getting my act together.

but first, ahm and then vps. i hate assignments.

apartment hunting has started with 4 viewings tmr! for sure i'm excited. i hope we get a nice townhouse with huge courtyard/balcony for the bbq pit, large living area, split system airconditioning and heating, pretty bathroom, hopefully with tub.... okay. i'm asking for too much. haha.

did i mentioned i delayed my return trip back to sg? my initial stay of 2 months back there has been reduced to a short and snappy 1 month of which i would probably have to slog my guts out for my work attachments again. on the bright side.. J's coming back as well!:)
now i seriously need to start planning my 21st birthday.

farm work is making me all so much tanner.
the sunshine mulwala gets is a couple of times stronger than that in the city and damn, took me sooo long to get myself fair.

yesterday, we saw a buffalo get slaughtered, skinned and decapitated.

today, we fought fire (a huge tree caught fire, lighted by some jackass dude from the kill the night before), pulled half the tree down, rescued an injured duck (was probably going to die from being attack from the other ducks), had a mini-operation for the duck as it's wounds were maggot infested.

havent slept properly for 4 days, of which i didnt sleep at all for the past 2 nights. i feel as if my eyeballs are gonna pop out.

steriods are totally not helping at all, i feel so drugged and i look like a walking zoombie. ewk.

holidays are here! well.. NOT really. i just gave myself an extra friday to the 2 weeks holiday which officially starts tmr!

what a way to start the holiday with hoarse throat, yellow phlegm, a heavy head and aching body. hopefully this doesnt get me down and i dont have to give up my already planned activites for tonight and tmr.

it's a mad rush this weekend as jx and i are taking off to the farms on sunday for a whole 2 weeks, with mel coming up the 2nd week. ( I KNOW, WHAT KINDA HOLIDAY IS THIS?)
on the up side, J is coming down on thursday for a 3 days visit before she drives back down to the city.

So it's work tonight at the MCG, and then hopefully ching's celebratory party@ Billboard.

i know i really shouldnt be complaining, especially with the fact that we are in the same city, and possibly just like a 5 minute drive apart.

BUT.. point is that.. i AM indeed feeling out of place with the fact that i am sitting by my com (normal); heater is on (normal); i'm about to start my series marathon (normal); dishes undone (normal); fridge filled with proper food like vegetables (abnormal) and fact that i'm at home alone (abnormal). :(

it's like.. i dont think i've actually slept without company for the past 2 weeks or so.. hmm..
and dont get me wrong, i have NOT been sleeping around. ha

So skiing was a blast. Jx and i have decided to pick snow boarding/ skiing as a sport. which means, annual trips and hopefully several times during winter.

school commenced 2 days ago, which started out as an absolute drag. considering that i had only 3 hour lects on monday and that i skipped sch today.. uhm.. you get the drift.

On the up side, jan k's back, edward scissorhands, Wicked and the Nike Run are drawing near:)

Pips is a terror and i know this sounds terribly brutal, but i've been unable to handle her spoilt, abusive, destructive behaviour and kinda got jx to take care of her till the end of this week before i actually go psychotic.

i cant wait for weif to come. wooot!

okay, i'm flying back to melb on tues. cant believe i've been back for a month.
i must say that this holiday was one of my best trip back.
much thanks to my dear friends, family and love ones.
this trip really opened my eyes to lots, and made my vision of others much clearer than before.

that aside, phuture was really hellotta fun last night. company was great and i got to see mal, nicky, nicholas, weif and some others for the last time before i fly.

2 days left, now i really got to maximise my stay here and eat all that i can possibly eat!

now it's back to studying and hopefully working.

it's been exactly a week since i've been back. and gosh, am i liking this newly revamped life in sg. dont get me wrong, this comparison is between my previous holidays in singapore and this one that i'm having now.

i'm glad i've been catching up with my friends of which, i apologise for disappearing over the past 1-2 years.
look, being able to meet all these friends on a one to one basis was never really an option open to me due to certain limitations and restrictions.

okay so the past week was well spent with sheryl, ching, michelle lee, weifen, charl, chris, jx, jane, sengsong, mal, nicky, reuben, monique and most importantly.. my mum.( i HAD to list them out to accentuate the difference)

i love where i stay. it's not plonked in the middle of the city, neither is it far away from it. just abt 7 mintues away, and yet i get to enjoy the quiet suburban life.. hmmmm.. haha.

and besides, there's a very very BIG and convenient officeworks just down from my place which has a direct 5 min tram there.. (it took me like... just 20 mintues up and down and shopping inside, cause my stupid highlighter died.)

AND AND.. there's a park just a 2 min jog away and the streets of north melbourne are lined with pretty townhouses that are so good on the eyes..

ooh! hope the sun doesnt disappear later, time to go running and smell that nice fresh northM air!

it's amazing how life works, funny ways to be concise.

talk about theatres, musicals and ballets got me all excited again. there are so many up and coming performances that i NEED to catch.
but somehow, i've yet to find a friend who enjoys it as much as i do.

as much as it hate to say this, maybe the obstacles that i've been constantly in faced with has indeed made me a better person, or rather.. an individual who is more aware and humble.
yes, i've whined, complaint and gone through the "i hate the world" phase. but i guess at the end of the day, i survived through those trying periods and now i'm on to much greater things..

frankly speaking, adopting the "inconsequential" stance has made me a much happier person. i no doubt still get affected by unfortunate situations once in a while, but at least the extend of it is much less and it can no longer devastate me like how it did in the past.

life goes on. people move on. time does not stop for anybody.
guess i'm finally grasping the concept of that.

i've been trying to toilet train her and placed her in a much bigger cage, and she managed to figure her way out 3 times today and ran immediately when i noticed her.

Despite my efforts to try to block her exits, she stealthily managed her way out again and i'm forced to place her back in the smaller cage.

pips is doing just fine. pretty well actually.. she's eating so much these days it's.. phenomenal.
from timothy hay to carrot, to pellets, to bak choy and now.. apple skins.
she's such a little thing but yet she's eating like a monster rabbit.

but she's quite a brat, with all her peeing and shitting everywhere in the house whenever i clean her cage out. i soooo need to toilet train her. and she's such a shit/pee machine! the amount of waste she produces is enough to feed me an entire meal (not that i'll eat it btw)

she's such a cute thing, she's eating the apple skin just right now as i'm typing.

easter break's over. too quickly too soon.
winter's approaching, cold front rushing in.

super windy day today. and i mean it. it was super super SUPER windy. i literally got blown away and had to scream for mel and jx to come save me. heard some women died cause a break flew and hit her head. that was sad. rip

dissected a toad today. gooey queensland originated posionous toad. had to separate it's siatic nerve from it's spinal cord down to it's leg. imagine this. cutting of superficial skin, separating of organs, peeling of the abdominal wall from skin, breaking of bones, ringing, splattering of guts. not sightly. but it was really quite a fun prac i must say. had alot of hands on as we worked in pairs.

think we have another dissection class for anatomy this friday. wonder what's next.

it's been raining in melbourne for the past 2 days, today being day number 2. and damn, it's cold.

did i mention we went fishing? rented a boat and went out to sea last saturday. think we caught about 20 fishes in total? and a baby shark. great experience, loads of fun, will do again.

i will not use the lord's name in vain.

the temperature went up to a all time high in melbourne today. 40 DEGREES.
felt alright when we were stuck in the lecture theatres but it was absolutely crazy when we stepped out of the air conditioned room. i literally felt as if i was walking in a sauna or in a huge oven. woosh.

what made matters worse was the fact that we had a dissection class today. had to dissect a limb of the dog. got the hindlimb, and i literally mean hindlimb. all other parts of the dog was removed. so the intestines, kidney (cause the other was missing), intestines, part of the lumbar veterbrae were all exposed.
imagine a room filled with limbs, poor ventilation, intense heat, rancid decomposing odour stressful conditions UH. i wanted to die.

glad that is over now.
oh wait, no. there's still another dissection lab class next week. and this time, we get the whole freaking dog! i need to start mastering the art of handling surgical tools. blunt dissection looked so easy in the video, but i was kinda struggling with it today. damn!

anyway! got my keys to the new apartment today. cant move in just yet though, got to set up my internet, which will take about 10-15 days (aussies are slow), buy my fridge and other furnitures. but thing is that, i have school everyday from 9-5! gosh, cant wait for the easter break to arrive.

School has been absolutely... CRAZZZY.

anatomy especially. gosh. let me share with you a little of what was covered today.

the pectoral normally consist of 3 bones namely the scapula, the claricle (which is joined laterally to the glenoumeral and joined medially with the sternum) and the coracoid (which is at the distal end of the scapula).
distal to the scapula is the humerus followed by ulna (which is more caudal and more distal laterally) and the radius (which is cranial in the proximal end and medial in the distal end).........

and there like 100000x more of that. and mind you, thats just forelimb of a dog.

9-5 school hours and 6 hours sleep are starting to kill me even though we are still in our first week. gosh, i cant wait for the next 2 days to be over and for weekends to provide that breath of fresh air.

it's annoying how Victoria refuse to recognise international students as "Students" and we are not allowed to have concession passes for transport. a monthly tram ticket over here cost $104.60. multiply that by 8 months, gosh, that how much transport will cost for me here in a year.

did i mention that i have to travel to Werribee (the main vet campus/farm which is a good... 90min away) every alternate week? and considering that that is Zone2, we have to purchase a different type of Metcard which cost AU$10+ for a day trip..

crap. 4 more years of vet sch to go...

besides the lack of sleep, bad throat, impending fever and a full day schedule, the day honestly couldn't get any worse, or so i thought.

what i fail to anticipate was the quality of the meeting/assignments that awaited me and how that could have upgraded matters from bad to horrid, or should i say.. downgrade?

so my entire journey started off with a meeting with the GM of nEbO which i must say was not what i expected to be.
emotions aside, i must say that there was indeed a substantial gap with regards to the platform of which both parties were speaking from.

it was terribly knotty for us from our end as the other was rather fixated on his ideas and was unwilling to listen to our opinions with regards to the issue of "youths". not only were our suggestions shot down, but it came across to my fellow intern and i that we were not allowed to have a voice and were required to follow his orders and no one else's even if they were (honestly not the most appropriate)

somehow as we took steps to reach a compromise, the more defensive and pushy he became, which was extremely deterring, until it came to a point of where things became tiresome and the few of us just wanted to back this off and walk away.

why was it impossible to convince him that we were/ARE a team and we were/are not against him?

next came the singtel sms assignment which i had to rush frantically for as the previous meeting had dragged slightly past the expected time.

as i made my way down, i felt that i was being guilt tripped for being a little late with the calls of how this and that was happening and (okay i take it upon myself, cause yes, i was late)i'm sorry for that. but when i reached the event site, nat and i were completely taken aback by how the rest of the team did not make any efforts to start first or whatsoever.

okay pettiness aside, the team managed to finally pull our act together, and we almost met out target for the day. which i must say was great effort on everyone's part.:))

and now, entering the database collected onto excel seems more tedious than expected and i'm about to seriously considering killing myself. ha. plus i just cant get my mind off thequest project and i really really want to churn that document out for althea.

thank god sheryl is going down to help with the recruitment drive tmr.

the trip started out on a crazy high with me oversleeping as we partied at phuture the night before. then as we were heading to the airport, althea and i suddenly realise that our return flight was one day later than what we remembered.

So we checked in into our hotel which i must say.. is absolutely amazing and started our shopping. then on day 2 i fell ill and got worse on day 3 of which i almost collapsed at chutuchuk (or however you spell it)

i then miraculously recovered and the shopping ritual continued and we left bangkok with absolutely ZERO dollars.

okay. guess what i found in my basin today?

to start things off, i shall give a brief introduction of what has been happening home. well basically i've been on a crazy mung-bean soup phase, been good and doing all my dishes and all, BUT.. i've been too lazy to clear the siever-thingy in the sink.

and yes, as i was happily eating my watermelon on the kitchen table top,until this caught my eye! (okay, please ignore the other gross refuse)

what you see there is a mixture of discoloured grass jelly, soften biscuit crumbs, pandan leaves, raw cat food remnants and who knows what.

and here's another one!

i know, you're probably going to advise me to start throwing those refuse away, but no! i'm so gonna keep them there and watch the beans sprout! yes, even though i know their growth would soon be impeded by the lack of food resources as they finish the reserves in the cotyledons.

oh bio, gross. and yes, did i mention that i'm so screwed for the bio paper this morning?

A night of misfortune and realisation.

staying on the 39th floor does indeed give you a bird's eye view of things.
After being rudely shocked by the rumble of thunder (mind you, thunderstorms rarely, i mean.. RARELY occur in melbourne), i looked out the balcony and saw a huge fire not so far away around north melbourne.

somehow, i felt really anxious the entire time and basically camped out at my balcony till the fire trucks arrived at the scene and doused the fire.. which in fact.. took about half an hour or so to do so.

it was really scary how the fire engulfed the shophouse/residential area and i literally watched the fire spread to its side and i felt crazy helpless and blah. yes, blah.

in addition to that was the random dashes of lightning that kept perpetuating the night skies.

hmm..

all i can think of right now, is how i want to be a fire fighter.
so much for biology i so need to cram into my head.:(
