Sadness in their eyes.
find them a home will you?
--
we decided to visit the lost dogs homeless shelter today. and the animals there had so much sadness in their eyes that i am still unable to erase that look in their faces from my head. it's unlike the RSPCA which we visited the other time. the animals at the home we different. (dont get me wrong, i'm sure the home does not ill treat the dogs. in fact, we thought the cats were fed pretty well..)
those dogs just had so much love to give but there's just noone who wants that love. from my memory, i particularly remember 4 dogs.
the first was this toy dog Jack(a terrier cross), which was (from our diagnosis, possibly depressed.)
next was this really hyper pointer cross called Gemma which was really affectionate and excited to see humans, she was a really friendly one.
beside Gemma was Sassy, a Rhodesian Ridgeback Cross, who was extremely tamed, obedient and yet needy.
and lastly was the dog.. who stood alone. he was returned from his previous family after being adopted once. and i honestly think that the worse thing that can happen to a pet is to be abandoned, then adopted, have hope, feel love and abandoned again. the look of dejection in his eyes.. i dont even know how to start describing it. i honestly dont.
i have attached links to the pictures of the dogs, please take a look at them if you can.
and please, to the people out there, please.. if you're not ready, don't a pet and later abandon them. buy a toy instead.
goodbye.
